Cookie Dough Truffle Bites

This was such an easy dessert and really good. You can make these in under an hour. You use edible cookie dough. Regular cookie dough can make you sick so you take out the eggs and heat the flour to get the bacteria out. You can eat this edible cookie dough by the spoonful. Let’s get baking!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

  1.  First, in a heat safe bowl, put the flour in the microwave for 1 minute and 15 seconds to get all the harmful bacteria out that can make you sick. Stir it up. Add the baking soda and salt to the flour and give that a whisk. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, with a spatula mix the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and milk. The texture should be super smooth. 
  3. Now sift the flour mixture into the butter and sugar mixture. Mix until smooth and without lumps. If you don’t sift the flour, you will have lots of lumps. I found that when the flour is heated in the microwave it lumps together, so make sure to sift it thoroughly.
  4. Once it’s smooth, add in the chocolate chips. But make sure not to over-mix.
  5. Roll into 1 tablespoon balls.  Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 2o minutes.
  6.  Melt chocolate (white and milk chocolate). in the microwave. 
  7. Dip the frozen dough balls in the melted chocolate.  You could also fill a piping bag and drizzle onto bags. For example, dip in milk chocolate then drizzle white chocolate on top. I also shredded Hershey bars on sprinkled that on top. Get creative and make it your own. 
  8. After being dipped place back on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze again for 20 min.
  9. Take out of freezer. Serve right away or keep refrigerated.  Enjoy!
