These Madelines were so good! They were moist and had a perfect flavor. Valentine’s day is coming up so I thought these would be great to share. This easy recipe is from miss mollymoon.com. Let’s get baking!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 Egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3/4 cup butter (melted)
  • Red food coloring
  • 1 1/4 cups Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
  • Powdered sugar for topping

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Beat sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla until light in color and thick. Pour in melted butter and food coloring, beating until combined. in a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt, then fold into the egg mixture. Spoon batter into madeline pans, filling about 3/4 full. (I used a small cookie scoop and it filled them perfecly.)
  1. Bake for about 7 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the center if It comes out clean they are done. Immediately remove from pans to wire racks, and cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!

Thanks for baking with me!
