Buttercream Frosting

This is my go-to recipe for buttercream. It’s not too sweet and is great when piping because its light and fluffy but holds its shape. let’s get baking!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 1-4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add in the powdered sugar. 
  3. Once all combined, add in the vanilla. Then add in the heavy whipping cream 1 tablespoon at a time. Once it is at a good consistency, stop mixing and use buttercream right away. Enjoy!
