This homemade cake release really works! my cakes slid right out of the pan. Plus this “Goop” lasts for 3 months at room temp. or 6 months in the fridge! I am never going back to the store bought kind (I have a some bad experiences) and only using this. With only 3 ingredients, this “Goop” is fast and easy to whip up. INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup flour
1/2 vegetable oil
1/2 cup of shortening
DIRECTIONS:
In a medium sized bowl, whisk together all of the ingredients.
Keep whisking. It will be lumpy at first but eventually it will become smooth the more you mix.
With a silicon pastry brush, spread the “Goop” on the pan. This is also great for nooks and crannies in bunt pans.
Pour in an airtight container (I used a mason jar) You can keep it in a pantry or on thcountec and it will keep for 3 months or you can place it in the fridge and It will last for 6 months!
