Rice Crispy Treats

These are so easy and delicious! You can never go wrong with this classic treat. The reason I love these because it reminds me of my childhood. I used to make these all the time! Recipe is from sally’sbakingaddiction.com. Let’s get baking!
INGREDIENTS:
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- two 10 ounce bags mini marshmallows
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch salt
- cups crispy rice cereal
DIRECTIONS:
- Lightly grease and line a baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Melt the butter over medium heat in a very large pot. Once melted, add the marshmallows. Stir the mixture until the marshmallows are completely melted.
- Remove from heat, then immediately stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Finally, fold in the cereal. Make sure each piece of cereal is coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Transfer mixture to the prepared pan. Spread mixture to fit the pan.
- Allow to set for at least 1 hour at room temperature and covered or up to 1 day. Cut into squares and enjoy!
