Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

This is a fun take on a chocolate chip cookie. I love this recipe because it’s super easy and has no chilling involved. Just combine the ingredients, put the dough in the pan, and bake it. It’s that simple. Let’s get baking!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 10 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cups brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg and 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1-3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup and 2 tablespoons chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a ( 8 or 9 inch) pie pan or cake pan.
  2.  Cream the butter and two sugars together for at least 2 minuets. Then, mix in the egg and the egg yolk and vanilla.
  3. Mix all of the dry ingredients till well combined. add in 1 cup of the chocolate chips but save 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips.
  4. Press the dough in the pie plate or whatever you decide to use. Press the remaining 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips lightly on the top. 
  5. bake for 22-25 minutes. Let cool completely and then frost. Enjoy!

CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM FROSTING:

  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Just beat all of the ingredients together until smooth, Adding milk as needed. Fill a piping bag and pipe the frosting on the cookie cake. top it with sprinkles and you’re all done.
