Homemade Biscuits

These biscuits are so good. You can put many things like, butter, gravy, jam, and honey. They are flaky and rich. I absolutely love this recipe from, dashofsanity.com because you can make these in 20 minutes or less. let’s get baking!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chilled butter (salted)
  • 2/3 cup milk

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 415 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of sugar, and salt.
  3. Using a pastry blender, your hands or a knife, cut in the butter until coarse crumbs form.
  4. Pour in the milk slowly. Use a fork to stir. Stir until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl and forms a ball. It might be a little sticky so just flour your surface.
  5. Roll out the dough 1/2 in. thick. Use 2 or 3 in. circle cookie cutter, bowl, or cup. Place the dough circles on the baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and risen. Serve right away and enjoy!
