These look really pretty and elegant. They were really easy to make and good. Madeline cookies are unique. This recipe is from cookingwithbooks.net. Let’s get baking!

- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
FOR THE GLAZE:
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
- water for desired consistency
- extra lavender buds
- Purple food coloring (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and grease madeleine pan. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the baking powder, flour, and salt.
- In a ziplock bag, Place the lavender bugs and crush with a hammer. Whisk the sugar and crushed lavender buds. Add the vanilla, eggs, and melted butter.
- Add the liquid ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until incorporated.
- Pour about 1 tablespoons into each madeleine cup. Bake until golden around the edges, about 15 minutes.
- Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan. Cool all the way while making glaze.
