This blondie is the best of both worlds, a brownie and a cookie. To spice this recipe from cooks illustrative baking book up I put the blonde in a skillet. With the gooey melted chocolate this is heaven on earth. You have to make this. Let’s get baking!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
- 12 teaspoons butter (melted and cool)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup toasted and chopped pecans (optional)
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 35 degrees F. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Next, whisk the brown sugar and melted butter. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract.
- Fold in the dry ingredients with a spatula. Careful not to over mix.
- Add the white and semisweet chocolate chips to the batter and mix.
- Pour the batter into a skillet and bake until golden brown, about 22 to 25 minutes. Let sit until you can touch without getting burned. I prefer to serve warm. Cut and enjoy!
Thanks for baking with me!
