This blondie is the best of both worlds, a brownie and a cookie. To spice this recipe from cooks illustrative baking book up I put the blonde in a skillet. With the gooey melted chocolate this is heaven on earth. You have to make this. Let’s get baking!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 12 teaspoons butter (melted and cool)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup toasted and chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 35 degrees F. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Next, whisk the brown sugar and melted butter. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  3. Fold in the dry ingredients with a spatula. Careful not to over mix.
  4. Add the white and semisweet chocolate chips to the batter and mix.
  5. Pour the batter into a skillet and bake until golden brown, about 22 to 25 minutes. Let sit until you can touch without getting burned. I  prefer to serve warm. Cut and enjoy!

Thanks for baking with me!
