Vanilla Funfetti Mug Cake

Craving cake but don’t want to spend hours making it? Well this recipe from justsotasky.com is for you! Fluffy, sweet, and flavorful mug cake ready in a minute! Let’s get baking!  

(Serving size 1)

INGREDIENTS FOR MUG CAKE:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg (yolk only) 
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles (optional)

FOR THE FROSTING: (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2-3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon milk

DIRECTIONS FOR CAKE:

  1. Add the butter to your mug and microwave until melted (about 60 seconds).
  2. Whisk in the milk, vanilla extract, egg yolk & sugar with a fork.
  3. Then whisk in the flour and baking powder. Stir in the sprinkles if using.
  4. Microwave for 60-90 seconds on medium power. The top should look set when it’s done. Cool for a bit.
DIRECTIONS FOR THE FROSTING:
  1. With a fork beat the butter until smooth.
  2.  Add in the powdered sugar and milk. 
  3. I just filled a ziplock bag and stuck a 2D tip in it. Pipe a dollop on your cooled cake. Enjoy!
